USDA FSA Loans come in various forms, tailored to meet the specific needs of customers: 

  1. Farm Ownership Loans: Thes loans help you purchase farmland and construct or repair essential buildings.
  2. Farm Operating Loans: Designed for day-to-day expenses, these loans cover costs like feed, seed, equipment, and labor.

Eligibility varies based on the loan program. The below examples are general eligibility requirements and are not a comprehensive list for determining eligibility. To be eligible for Guaranteed Loans (Farm Ownership and Operating, Including Microloans, or Emergency) applicants must:

  • Be located in the U.S.
  • Demonstrate then need to apply for a loan and the ability to repay the loan.
  • Demonstrate creditworthiness.
  • Have not received debt forgiveness on a previous direct or guaranteed loan. (Exceptions apply)
  • Demonstrate the training and education to effectively manage a farm operation.
  • Furnish a business plan
