At First Bank and Trust Company, we aren't in the business of one-size-fits-all banking solutions for our commercial clients. We understand that the financial needs of a business are unique to their business-type and industry. That's why we offer specialty account solutions that are designed to offer specialized features and benefits and can be tailored for your business.
You can work directly with one of our local, experienced bankers to determine which specialty account has the right fit for your business.
Our money market accounts are limited checking accounts that pay competitive interest on the funds deposited. Interest rates are tiered based upon the range of deposits.
Law firms have a certain fiduciary responsibility to their clients. They must follow certain rules when handling, holding and using client funds. A trust account called an IOLTA, or Interest on Lawyer Trust Account, should be established to manage and separate these funds.
IOLTA guidelines can vary by state. It's beneficial to have an advisor with local expertise support your trust account to ensure compliance.
Features & Benefits:
We help business step onto the path of a more secure and efficient financial future. One strategy we employ is offering business savings solutions that provide both security and returns. First Bank and Trust Company is a member of the IntraFi network which unlocks multi-million-dollar FDIC insurance for our commercial clients through demand deposit accounts or money market deposit accounts, called CDARS and ICS.
CDARS, or Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service, is an account that maximizes your FDIC insurance coverage on substantial deposits. Your funds are spread across the extensive InfraFi network, allowing you to access up to $50 million in coverage while working directly with just our bank.
ICS, or IntraFi Cash Service, provides full FDIC insurance coverage on funds up to $100 million on one account. Your excess cash goes into an interest-bearing account and these funds are automatically allocated to a network of participating banks. However, you still maintain access to your money and have the convenience of working directly with just our bank.
With a legacy spanning over four decades, we have been instrumental in fostering the success of businesses within our communities in Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. By choosing First Bank and Trust Company as your financial partner, you're not just selecting a financial institution; you're enlisting a dedicated extension of your team that will provide individualized service to help your business thrive.
With an ICS account, you maintain access to your funds placed in demand deposit accounts or money market accounts. With CDARS, select from multiple term options to meet your liquidity needs. You will receive one monthly statement from our bank for each service in which you participate, and, as always, your confidential information is protected.
First Bank and Trust Company is a community based financial institution, and our customer's deposits, including CDARS and ICS accounts, are utilized to support local lending opportunities to build strong thriving communities in the places we live and work.
